Two-Night Eaton County Fair Pull: Expect a 'Lotte of Action

CharlotteMIWorthington, Ohio---On Thursday and Friday, July 13 and 14, the National Tractor Pullers Association teams with the Eaton County Fair in Charlotte, Michigan to present the Eaton County Fair NTPA Pull. Part of the NTPA Championship Pulling Series, the event will include five Regional National classes on Thursday and four on Friday. Each evening's action begins at 7 p.m.

In truck and tractor pulling, vehicles drag a 20-ton weight transfer sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the puller that achieves the greatest distance is victorious  The NTPA is the world's number-one sanctioning organization for premier-level events that feature highly specialized machines resembling farm tractors, trucks, and dragsters and dedicated competitors that battle for purse money and end-of-season championships. With superchargers emitting an ear-splitting whine, massive tires churning clay at 100-mph wheelspeeds, turbochargers pumping columns of diesel smoke into the sky, and engine combinations exceeding 10,000 horsepower, high-performance pulling offers fans a multitude of thrills unmatched by any other motorsport.

On the card for the Eaton County Fair Pull both nights are Heavy Super Stock Tractors. Thursday's roster also includes Light Pro Stock Tractors, Two-Wheel-Drive and Super Stock Diesel 4x4 Trucks, and Modified Minis, while Friday's session features Super Farm Tractors, Four-Wheel-Drive Trucks, and Multi-Engine Modifieds. Licensed competitors will earn points toward championships in Region II (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio; LT PS, TWD: RN II-West), and the Heavy Supers, Super Farms, Light Pros, Two Wheel Drives, Four Wheel Drives, Minis, and Modifieds will additionally battle for berths in the 31st Enderle Memorial Pull-Off all-star invitational in Urbana, Ohio on Saturday, September 16.

Region II class champions from last season were Pfeiffer, Stan Warda of Berrien Springs, Michigan ("Hammerin' Hank" SF), Kendall Houk of Lynchburg, Ohio ("Nothing Special" LT PS), Randy Petro of Camden, Ohio ("Vintage Kathy's Komplaint" TWD), Taylor and Taylor of Eaton, Indiana ("Grain Hollers Mafia" FWD), Van Haisley of Fairmount, Indiana ("Rock Hard Ram" SSD 4x4), Bultman, and Ryan Writsel of Orient, Ohio ("Lucky Stryke" MOD).
