Two Rock-Solid Nights of GN, Region V Action at North Iowa Nationals

RockwellIAWorthington, Ohio---On Friday and Saturday, July 7 and 8, the National Tractor Pullers Association teams with the Rockwell Lions Club in Rockwell, Iowa to present the North Iowa Nationals at Chamber Acres. Part of the NTPA Championship Pulling Series, the event will include four Grand National and three Regional National classes each night beginning at 6 p.m.

In truck and tractor pulling, vehicles drag a 20-ton weight transfer sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled's resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the puller that achieves the greatest distance is victorious  The NTPA is the world's number-one sanctioning organization for premier-level events that feature highly specialized machines resembling farm tractors, trucks, and dragsters and dedicated competitors that battle for purse money and end-of-season championships. With superchargers emitting an ear-splitting whine, massive tires churning clay at 100-mph wheelspeeds, turbochargers pumping columns of diesel smoke into the sky, and engine combinations exceeding 10,000 horsepower, high-performance pulling offers fans a multitude of thrills unmatched by any other motorsport.

On the card for the North Iowa Nationals are Grand National Super Stock Diesel and Super Farm Tractors, Super Semi Trucks; and Mini and Multi-Engine Modifieds and Regional National Limited Pro Stock Tractors and Two-Wheel-Drive and Four-Wheel-Drive Trucks. Licensed competitors will earn points toward championships on the Grand National Series presented by Case IH Agriculture or in NTPA's Region V (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska) and berths in the 31st Enderle Memorial Pull-Off all-star invitational in Urbana, Ohio on Saturday, September 16.
