Fort Recovery Re-Ups with NTPA for Three Years

Worthington, Ohio---From the top of the hillside, you can just about see Indiana. From anywhere on the grounds, you can witness history.

According to an extension signed by the Ambassadors Club and the National Tractor Pullers Association, the Fort Recovery Grand Nationals will remain the fixture on the Association’s schedule it has already been for 46 seasons. The event is set for Friday and Saturday, July 26-27, 2019; July 31-August 1, 2020; and July 30-31, 2021. The latest of these dates will coincide with Ambassador Park’s semicentennial.

Champions and Hall-of-Famers have had to prove themselves on Fort Recovery dirt.”

This season’s event will include Grand National classes of Super Stock Diesel Tractors, Super Stock Diesel Four-Wheel-Drive Trucks, and Mini and Unlimited Modifieds. Additionally, Region II classes of Light Pro Stocks (Western subregion) and Four Wheel Drives will compete for a raised Pro National purse.

“The Ambassadors always bring in a nice variety of divisions, something to entertain every pulling fan,” Randall concluded. As in recent seasons, the event will be live-streamed around the world at

The Ambassadors Club, a non-profit organization of volunteers, was formed with the mission statement, “People of Fort Recovery Area Striving for a Better Tomorrow.” Since the park’s construction in 1971, the club has maintained the grounds and adjacent train depot. That effort has been assisted by funds raised at the pull, which began in 1973.
