Modified Mini Competitor Jim Schaendorf's Father Has Passed; Update: Obituary

The WPI/NTPA family is saddened to report the passing on Wednesday, February 5 of William Schaendorf, 79, of Dorr, Michigan. Mr. Schaendorf was the father and grandfather of Modified Mini competitors Jim and Tyler Schaendorf (Max'd Out).

In addition to reclaiming the family farm nearly 50 years ago, Mr. Schaendorf and his brother Bob built over 1,400 homes in western Michigan.

Along with Bob and his wife Linda, Jim and his wife Lisa, and Tyler (Cassie) and his sister Ashley (Colten) DeHaan, Mr. Schaendorf is survived by his daughter Debbie (Ken) Schafer and their children Cody and Morgan. Mr. Schaendorf's complete obituary may be found here, and condolences may be left for the family.

Visitation for Mr. Schaendorf's family and friends is scheduled for Sunday, February 9 from 2 to 4 p.m and 6 to 8 p.m. at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th Street, Dorr, Michigan 49323. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to his funeral service, which will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4125 18th Street in Dorr.
