We regret to inform you of the passing on Saturday, December 15 of Earl Dean Kelley, 93, of Adrian, Michigan. Mr. Kelley was the original driver of the "My Last Excuse" Super Farm that is presently campaigned by son-in-law Dave Whelan on the Grand National and Wolverine Pullers circuits.
Mr. Kelley owned Twin Curves Farms for 60 years and exhibited livestock at the Lenawee County Fair for 80 years, in the process serving in the county's Agricultural Society, on the Holstein Dairymen's Board, and on many of the fair's committees. He was also an auctioneer with Mitchell and Kelley of Adrian.
Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Virginia. In addition to Shanon and Dave, he is survived by daughters Cherryl Jackson and Karyl (John) Diersen; grandchildren Jamie (Bart) Hoover, Jayson (Natalie) and Joshua (Alissa) Diersen, Chad (Kelly), Joel (Stacia), and Kyle (Becky) Whelan, and Tori (David) Racine; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Mariam (Gerald) Ganun and Nancy Eardley; and many other relatives and friends.
