The pulling doesn't stop when the temperatures drop. Fourth NTPA Winter Nationals Set For January 19th-20th in Cloverdale Indiana

web2018 Cloverdale PosterWorthington, Ohio---The pulling doesn't stop when the temperatures drop.

Bane-Welker Equipment, Inc. is proud to present the fourth annual NTPA Winter Nationals on Friday and Saturday, January 19 and 20, 2018 at the C-Bar-C Expo Center in Cloverdale, Indiana. Conducted in three sessions, the invitational event will spotlight 2017's top competitors across six Grand National divisions and one Regional National division, plus a couple of new additions that are certain to warm up these two midwinter evenings.

Friday at 7 p.m., Grand National Super Stock Diesel 4x4s and Modified Minis plus Regional National Light Pro Stocks will be in competition. Concluding the first night of activities will be a Super Semi exhibition and a live musical performance by the band Double Cut of Zanesville, Ohio. The Nashville rock/country recording artists, sponsored by Haisley Machine, will be making their first appearance at the Winter Nationals.

Saturday at noon, the Minis will return and be joined by GN Two Wheel Drives, Four Wheel Drives, and Pro Stocks. And the “Saturday Smoke Out” nighttime session will feature SSD 4x4s, Pro Stocks, Light Pro Stocks, GN Super Stock Diesels, and a second Semi exhibition beginning at 7 p.m.

“This event just builds and builds as pulling fans continue to seize the opportunity to see their favorite drivers and vehicles up close,” said Gregg Randall, NTPA General Manager. “Carl and Cindy Harlan have demonstrated their enthusiasm for our sport by expanding the class roster each year. And the pullers just rave about the full-length indoor track.”

Indeed, the Bane-Welker NTPA Winter Nationals’ professionally constructed 320’ course accommodates outdoor weight transfer settings. These in turn allow the powerful trucks and tractors from pulling’s premier circuit to get tires up to full speed and engines up to full song. It’s the outdoor pulling experience moved indoors, complete with the NTPA’s Official LED Scoreboard, open pits, bleacher trackside seating, and refreshments including food and beer. There's even a way for pulling's youngest fans to get in on the indoor action: A kiddie pedal pull will be conducted prior to Saturday's noon session.

“All our team at C-Bar-C are proud to host the fourth annual Winter Nationals,” said facility owner Carl Harlan. “We keep upping our game with the best pullers in the nation and adding to our trade show and attractions. We’re working to provide the best fan experience at an indoor event. It’s now up to the fans to let us know if they are in support of what we are trying to build. We can’t do this without the fans.”

Tickets may be purchased at discount prices prior to the event at C-Bar-C's website (, the NTPA's Webmall (, and at O'Reilly Auto Parts stores nationwide. Admission to each of Friday's and Saturday's evening sessions is $25 ($30 at the door), while an all-day Saturday pass is $50 ($55) and a weekend pass is $65 ($75).

With room under its roof not only for the regulation track but also for pit areas, merchandisers, and concessionaires, the massive C-Bar-C facility is conveniently located halfway between Indianapolis and Terre Haute and just minutes from Interstate 70's Exit 41. The Expo Center will offer shuttle service to outlying free parking areas and local hotels, while camping spots are available for $25 per night. No carry-in seating is permitted aside from handicap accessibility. Coolers and carry-in alcohol are prohibited.
