Worthington, Ohio---Enderle week.
It arrives with a lot of joy and a little sadness, as the thrill of a last, spectacular event gives way to the realization that it will be at least January before you'll get to see your Grand National favorites go down a track again.
This year, the Region II schedule goes on even after the big doings in Urbana, so watch the front page of www.NTPAPULL.com for articles on Dover (next Friday) and West Salem, Ohio (next Saturday). And the traditional season close-out, Raleigh, arrives in another four weeks.
As for this week, it's the Guernsey County Fair in Old Washington, Ohio on Tuesday, September 11 at 6 p.m., a new day of the week and an earlier start time than in years past. Backing to the buckboard will be Region II Eastern Light Pro Stocks, Two Wheel Drives, and StainlessDiesel.com Pro Stock Diesel 4x4s, plus multi-engine Modifieds. Leading their respective divisions are Kendall Houk of Lynchburg, Ohio ("Nothing Special" LT PS-E), Brent Secrest of Celina, Ohio ("Nuthin' EZ 'Bout It" TWD-E), Rob Wright of McArthur, Ohio ("All Attitude" PSD 4x4-E), and Ryan Writsel of Orient, Ohio ("Lucky Stryke" MOD).
And in Allegan, Michigan, it's the Allegan County Fair Pull on Thursday, September 13 (also a new weekday) at 7 p.m. Western StainlessDiesel.com 3.0s will be joined by Super Farms and Minis. On top of the charts are Adam Hallien of Fort Wayne, Indiana ("Wrecker" PSD 4x4-W), Charlie Capozzo of Richmond, Michigan ("Cruel Intentions" SF), and David Lacey of Thedford, Ontario ("Triple Play: Double or Nothing" MINI).
The above events will count toward the 2019 Enderle Pull-Off, but there's still the matter of the 2018 edition. It arrives in Urbana (or in your living room, via WatchNTPA.com) this Saturday, September 15 at 5 p.m. Go to AllStarPull.com for event details, check out the final Road to the Enderle Traffic Reports (GN and RN) for the complete list of qualifiers, and buy your tickets for a few more days at ShopNTPA.com. If you've read this far, you're too good a fan not to come to the Enderle. Consider yourself personally invited.
This is the final week containing more than two events, and hence, it's the year's last Weekly Preview. We hope we've given you lots to look forward to throughout the season, and if you'll permit us one more plug, we invite you to subscribe to The Puller magazine to stay informed on the comings and goings of NTPA Championship Pulling. If you're already a subscriber, we deeply appreciate your readership.
Have a great offseason, everyone.
