Eddie's love for this sport started in the early 70's when he built a mini rod. Through the sport, Kerr met his wife Glenda, as her family owned one of the sleds used in the area. Eddie sees pulling as a great, family -orientated sport and enjoys the friendships made throughout the years. Eddie and Glenda have raised two daughters, with their youngest also meeting her future spouse at the pulls. Eddie has served in many capacitates at the NTPA member state level for years, seeing the evolution of the state organization grow to the current Mid South Pullers. Eddie served as President for two terms, as well as Secretary Treasurer, and Head Tech Official for four terms. Kerr has been involved with NTPA Tech for over 25 years as an official and is a current clutch inspector. Currently, the Kerrs campaign an Oliver Super Farm tractor called "Spending Daddy's Money" with his oldest daughter at the wheel. In 2008, Eddie became a Regional Director, acting as a liaison between Mid-South and the NTPA office, working with the officials, promoters, and sponsors.
