Columbus, Ohio—Welcome, competitors and fans, to the 53rd championship season of the National Tractor Pullers Association!
The 56th National Tractor Pulling Championships on Thursday through Saturday, August 17-19 is the collaborative effort of the NTPA and the Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association of Bowling Green, Ohio. The five-session Super National event will star 13 Grand National divisions on the legendary twin tracks of the Wood County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green.
NTPA Championship Pulling brings together skilled competitors, dynamic machines, and ardent fans for outrageous displays of horsepower at fairgrounds and festivals across the United States. Specialized tractors, trucks, and dragsters tow a heavy metal sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled’s resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the one that pulls the sled the farthest is the winner. Pullers spend long nights traveling, wrenching, and tuning to put on the best show and take their best shot at prize money and season championships.
The National Tractor Pulling Championships is part of the NTPA’s Grand National series presented by Case IH. Bowling Green participants will come from one of 13 GN divisions—Light Super Stock, Super Stock Diesel, Super Stock Open, Hi Torque Super Farm, and Pro Stock Tractors; Two-Wheel-Drive, Four-Wheel-Drive, Super Stock Diesel 4×4, and Doctor Preload Super Semi Trucks; and KPXA Mini, Light, Multi-Engine, and Unlimited Modifieds. All will compete for championships and berths in the 36th Enderle Memorial Pull-Off on Saturday, September 16 in Urbana, Ohio.
Classes competing during each session in Bowling Green are as follows: Session One (Thursday, 7 p.m.): Light Super Stock, Two Wheel Drive, Four Wheel Drive, Light Modified, and Unlimited. Session Two (Friday, noon): Super Stock Diesel, Super Farm, Super Stock Diesel 4×4, Mini, and Light Modified.
