Columbus, Ohio—Welcome, competitors and fans, to the 53rd championship season of the National Tractor Pullers Association!
The Friday Night Spectacular on Friday, August 25 is the collaborative effort of the NTPA and the Lorain County Ag Society of Wellington, Ohio. Held at the fairgrounds in Wellington, the one-session event will star four Grand National divisions and one Regional National division beginning at 6 p.m.
NTPA Championship Pulling brings together skilled competitors, dynamic machines, and ardent fans for outrageous displays of horsepower at fairgrounds and festivals across the United States. Specialized tractors, trucks, and dragsters tow a heavy metal sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled’s resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the one that pulls the sled the farthest is the winner. Pullers spend long nights traveling, wrenching, and tuning to put on the best show and take their best shot at prize money and season championships.
Scheduled to appear at the 2023 Friday Night Spectacular are GN Light Super Stock and Pro Stock Tractors and Mini and Unlimited Modifieds as well as RN Classic Super Stock Tractors. Competitors in all divisions will pursue Grand National or Region II championships and qualification to appear at the 36th annual Enderle Pull-Off on Saturday, September 16 in Urbana, Ohio.
Fans will be kept informed and entertained by the NTPA’s Mobile Videoboard, which will present multi-camera live video, replays, driver and vehicle identifications, and distances. The event will also be streamed live to the world at NTPA.tv with on-screen graphics and announcer commentary.
