Columbus, Ohio—Welcome, competitors and fans, to the 53rd championship season of the National Tractor Pullers Association!
The Monroe County Fair Pull on Thursday, August 3 is the collaborative effort of the NTPA and the Monroe County Fair of Monroe, Michigan. Conducted at the fairgrounds in Monroe, the one-session raised-purse Pro National event will star five Regional National divisions on twin tracks beginning at 7 p.m.
NTPA Championship Pulling brings together skilled competitors, dynamic machines, and ardent fans for outrageous displays of horsepower at fairgrounds and festivals across the United States. Specialized tractors, trucks, and dragsters tow a heavy metal sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled’s resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the one that pulls the sled the farthest is the winner. Pullers spend long nights traveling, wrenching, and tuning to put on the best show and take their best shot at prize money and season championships.
Scheduled to appear at the 2023 Monroe County Fair Pull Pull are Super Farm and 5.0 Pro Stock Tractors, Four-Wheel-Drive Trucks, and Mini and multi-engine Modifieds. All will compete for a raised Pro National purse and championships in the NTPA’s Region II (Minis: II-Southeast; Modifieds: II-Northwest), and the Super Farms, Four Wheel Drives, Minis, and Modifieds will pursue qualification to appear at the 36th annual Enderle Pull-Off on Saturday, September 16 in Urbana, Ohio.
