Columbus, Ohio—Welcome, competitors and fans, to the 53rd championship season of the National Tractor Pullers Association!
The Randy Petro Memorial Truck and Tractor Pull at the Preble County Fair Pull on Friday, August 4 is the collaborative effort of the NTPA and the Preble County Ag Society of Eaton, Ohio. Conducted at the fairgrounds in Eaton, the one-session event will star four Regional National divisions beginning at 7 p.m. and will include a bonus prize to one division.
NTPA Championship Pulling brings together skilled competitors, dynamic machines, and ardent fans for outrageous displays of horsepower at fairgrounds and festivals across the United States. Specialized tractors, trucks, and dragsters tow a heavy metal sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled’s resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the one that pulls the sled the farthest is the winner. Pullers spend long nights traveling, wrenching, and tuning to put on the best show and take their best shot at prize money and season championships.
Scheduled to appear at the 2023 Randy Petro Memorial Pull Pull are Light Pro Stock and Hot Farm Tractors and Two-Wheel-Drive and Stainless Diesel Pro Stock Diesel 4×4 3.0 Trucks. All will compete for championships in the NTPA’s Region II (Light Pros: II-West; 3.0s: II-South) and qualification to appear at the 36th annual Enderle Pull-Off on Saturday, September 16 in Urbana, Ohio.
Registrants in the Two Wheel Drive class will have their entry fees paid by the Petro Family. Also, a $1,000 bonus will be paid to that class’ winner.
