Columbus, Ohio—Welcome, competitors and fans, to the 53rd championship season of the National Tractor Pullers Association!
The Champaign County Fair Pull on Friday, August 4 is the collaborative effort of the NTPA and the Champaign County Ag Society of Urbana, Ohio. Conducted at the fairgrounds in Urbana, the one-session event will star four Regional National divisions beginning at 7 p.m.
NTPA Championship Pulling brings together skilled competitors, dynamic machines, and ardent fans for outrageous displays of horsepower at fairgrounds and festivals across the United States. Specialized tractors, trucks, and dragsters tow a heavy metal sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled’s resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the one that pulls the sled the farthest is the winner. Pullers spend long nights traveling, wrenching, and tuning to put on the best show and take their best shot at prize money and season championships.
Scheduled to appear at the 2023 Champaign County Fair Pull Pull are Light Limited Super Stock, Classic Super Stock, and 5.0 Pro Stock Tractors and multi-engine Modifieds. All will compete for championships in the NTPA’s Region II (Modifieds: II-Southeast), and the Light Limited Supers, Classic SUpers, and Modifieds will pursue qualification to appear at the 36th annual Enderle Pull-Off on Saturday, September 16 right back at the fairgrounds.
