Columbus, Ohio—There are several events remining on the 2023 NTPA Grand National calendar. But the end of the road for three divisions arrived in Bowling Green, Ohio this weekend, and a fourth champ won from home when participation was prevented by precipitation.
In Light Modified, Les Korporal of Marion, Indiana clinched the first-ever GN Light Modified Championship with a win in Thursday’s Session One and a third place in Friday afternoon’s Session Two abourd “Korporal Punishment.” It is Korporal’s first national title.
In Super Stock Open, Zane Dehli of Waukon, Iowa sealed his first GN Super Stock Open Championshp with a fourth in Friday evening’s Session Three and a third in Saturday afternoon’s Session Four on the “Ruttin’ Deere 2” John Deere. Dehli’s teammate and tractor owner, Robert Gansemer of Plattevile, Wisonsin, was the 2021 GN SSO champion.
In Doctor Preload Super Semi, Ryan DeBroux of New Franken, WIsconsin earned his first GN Super Semi Championshp with a third in Friday evening’s Session Three and a fifth in Saturday evening’s Session Five aboard his “Playin’ with Fire” Kenworth. It is DeBroux’s first national title.
And in Unlimifed, the rainout of Wellington brought Adam Bauer’s championship season to a close. It is his third title in the division with “Cross Threaded.”
