Columbus, Ohio---Let's all pull together, America!
The 2022 National Tractor Pullers Association Championship Pulling season continues with the Budweiser Dairyland NTPA Super Nationals, to be conducted in five sessions from Thursday through Saturday, June 23-25 at Recreation Park in Tomah, Wisconsin. Each of its 28 classes will be live-streamed to the world at NTPA.tv.
Truck and tractor pulling is a contest in which a highly specialized competition vehicle drags a weighted sled whose resistance increases as it travels. Among a group of competitors driving similar machines, the winner is the one whose tractor, truck, or modified moves the sled the greatest distance along a straight course. Founded in 1969 to establish nationwide competition and safety rules for pulling, the NTPA and its member organizations present around 150 events each year and award champions of state, Regional National, and Grand National circuits in dozens of vehicle divisions.
Pullers are owners and operators, farmers and foremen, engineers and entrepreneurs, mechanics and machinists who love to turn wrenches, tires, and dirt---just like their fans. We invite kids of all ages to tour the open pits at NTPA venues, meet our talented drivers, and get up close to these exotic vehicles that look fast standing still. Our shows respect faith, family, and flag, and everyone is welcome. Come celebrate American ingenuity with us in Tomah!
The Budweiser Dairyland NTPA Super Nationals event is part of the NTPA's Grand National series presented by Case IH Agriculture. Tomah participants will come from one of 11 GN divisions---Light Super Stock, Super Stock Diesel, Super Stock Open, and Pro Stock Tractors; Two-Wheel-Drive, Four-Wheel-Drive, Super Stock Diesel 4x4, and Super Semi Trucks; and Mini, Multi-Engine, and Unlimited Modifieds---or three RN divisions---Super Farm, Light Pro Stock, and Limited Pro Stock Tractors.
All will compete for championships (Limited Pro Stock: Region III-East) and berths in the 35th Enderle Memorial Pull-Off on Saturday, September 17 in Urbana, Ohio.
Classes competing during each session in Tomah are as follows (all times Central): Session One (Fan Appreciation Night/Thursday, 7 p.m.): Super Stock Open, Limited Pro Stock, Four Wheel Drive, Mini, and Modified. They'll rev their engines and then fall silent as a military color guard performs a 21-gun salute and a bugler plays taps in honor of the living veterans in attendance and in memory of the fallen.
Tickets for each session are $24, with all-day Friday or all-day Saturday tickets available for $44, and a season ticket (all five sessions) for $110. Tickets may be purchased from the event's website (www.TOMAHTRACTORPULL.com) or by phone (608-372-2081). In the event of a rainout in which a session is less than half completed, session tickets will be honored for a later session, while season tickets will be honored for one session in 2022.
Fans in Tomah will see all the action on the massive NTPA Mobile Videoboard. The event will also be part of Season 18 of "NTPA Championship Pulling" on RFD-TV, which will debut in August.
