2021 NTPA Convention and Awards Banquet, December 3-4 in Dublin, OH

The 50th NTPA Convention and Awards banquet will be held Friday and Saturday, December 3-4, 2021 at the Marriott Columbus Northwest in Dublin, Ohio. This isNTPABanquetLogo 2021 the same location as the preceding banquet in 2019. The event will closely resemble the schedule from 2019 with a few updates.

For the first time, tickets for both the NTPA Awards Banquet ($50) and the NTPA Annual Appreciation Breakfast ($15) may be purchased online at any time. Tickets may also be obtained by calling the NTPA office. In all cases, tickets will be distributed at the on-site registration desk throughout the weekend.

On Friday, December 3, Tech Official School (9:30 a.m.) and Entry Clerk School (2 p.m.) will be conducted and open to all current and prospective NTPA field personnel. This year, the two schools will not overlap, as Tech Officials and Entry Clerks are encouraged to attend the other's school to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the crucial work that members of each group are tasked with at events.

Saturday's lineup will kick off with the annual Appreciation Breakfast (8 a.m.) where NTPA sponsors and supporters will be recognized. Directly following is the Membership Programs Meeting (9:30 a.m.), in which member benefits and annual NTPA programs will be discussed, followed by the Championship Pulling Seminar (10 a.m.). The evening program will start with the banquet dinner at 6 p.m. before the Awards Ceremony begins at 7:45 p.m.

In lieu of the traditional raffle on Saturday night, submitted items will be placed in a silent auction. Bid sheets will be placed near items in the hallway outside the banquet hall and surrounding the hotel's great room. All bids will close at 7:45 p.m. at the start of the Awards Ceremony, and winners of these items will be announced during the ceremony. Those wishing to donate an item to the auction are encouraged to let the NTPA office know ahead of time; however, all donations will happily be accepted and added to the auction on the day of the event. As in 2019, the NTPA office will assemble some special prize packages that will be of great interest to pulling competitors and enthusiasts. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Pullers Against Drugs fund, which annually awards scholarships to members or affiliates of the pulling industry who are either pursuing or planning to pursue higher education.
