$4,000 in scholarships will be awarded in 2021 through World Pulling International to students involved in the pulling industry looking to further their education. High school seniors and college students in good academic standing who are immediate family members of NTPA competitors, crew members, officials, clerks, promoters, and associates are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Wednesday, November 10. The online scholarship application can be found here.
The application includes a series of questions regarding school, community, and pulling involvement, along with written essay prompts. The application and essays combined will be judged to determine scholarship winners. Scholarship winners will be notified the week following the deadline. Winners will be recognized at the annual NTPA Awards Banquet on December 4, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio, as well as be announced online at www.NTPApull.com and in The Puller magazine.
Three $1,000 scholarships are available through World Pulling International, made possible by the NTPA’s Pullers Against Drugs fund and the sponsorship of K & K Insurance. The Rod Deck Memorial Scholarship was created in the fall of 2020 by the Deck family in memory of the longtime Super Farm competitor. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student in good academic standing who is enrolled or intends to enroll in a college or trade school.
