Summit Racing Joins NTPA's Point Fund, Contingency Programs
Columbus, Ohio---The National Tractor Pullers Association has announced a sponsorship agreement with Summit Racing Equipment of Tallmadge, Ohio for the 2021 season. Summit Racing, an in-store, mail-order, and online automotive parts retail outlet, will contribute to the Association's National Year-End Point Fund and Contingency Programs.
"We're proud to welcome Summit Racing to the NTPA's family of sponsors," said Gregg Randall, NTPA's Executive Director. "We fully expect this to be a mutually beneficial partnership, as our competitors will have a couple of new avenues to get rewarded for their on-track efforts, while our fans will get to hear a great message about Summit's diversified retail experience.
"We were looking forward to announcing a program with Summit Racing last year," Randall recalled. "But, as you know, the pandemic took us on a detour. Still, we kept in touch, and this summer we're looking forward to the return of a full slate of great pulling and great partnerships, both old and new."
NTPA competitors who register their vehicles at the Grand or Regional National level become eligible for payouts at season's end based upon their order of finish in their respective divisions' point standings. In 2021, the NTPA will track nearly 40 GN, regional, and subregional points races across events from North Dakota to North Carolina and from New York to Kansas.
Meanwhile, pullers who sign up for the NTPA's Contingency Program and place the corresponding sponsor decals on their pulling vehicles can earn cash, products, and/or vouchers based on their placings at individual events. Summit Racing has elected to reward with product vouchers the winners and fifth-place finishers across both the GN and RN circuits who participate in and meet the requirements of the Contingency Program.
"It’s exciting to get this partnership put together for 2021, we looking forward to the opportunity to get out and meet everyone involved in NTPA," said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Motorsports and Events Manager. "As we look to expand our presence in all things motorsports, the NTPA is a natural fit."
