Marion, Ohio—The NTPA has retracted the recent release stating SFI aluminum bellhousings with adjustment/inspection covers would no longer be allowed starting January 1, 2026.

NTPA will continue to follow SFI Specifications 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 through April 30, 2027.
Effective May 1, 2027, NTPA will only accept SFI 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 bellhousings made from steel or titanium in any application, division, or level of competition.
