Online GN Class Entry: Deadlines and Directions

For 2024, the NTPA will require online entry in advance for Grand National classes. This policy applies to all such classes whether they appear at Super, Grand, or Regional National events and to all vehicles whether registered at any level (Grand National, Regional National, or Non-Points) or provisionally registered for the event (i.e., “Per-Hooked”).

Online entry will close on the Monday prior to the start time of the first session of each event that includes GN classes. (Exception: Benson, NC, entry will close Tuesday, as that Monday is Memorial Day.) This deadline schedule is as follows; the four required steps to complete event entry follow the table.

Step 1: Create a Trackside Account in the Driver’s Name (one time only).

One is required for each Driver. (If you practiced with Trackside in 2023, you probably completed this step.) It is recommended that the  username be the same as the associated email address; a different email address/username is required for each Driver.

Step 2: License or per-hook the Driver (one time only) and register or per-hook the Vehicle (one time only).

If you have already completed a 2024 Competitor License application and a 2024 Vehicle Registration at any level, your info will be imported from the office. Otherwise, complete the appropriate license, registration, or per-hook forms, add them to your Shopping Cart, and check out. (Per-hooks will be charged at the time of each class entry.)

Note: Licenses and registrations are not finished until the Shopping Cart checkout process has been completed and payment provided.

Step 3: Add each Vehicle to each Driver’s Garage (one time only).

Select each Vehicle, one at a time, that will be driven by that Driver and add it to that Driver’s Garage. A Vehicle may be added to more than one Garage so it can be driven by more than one Driver.

Step 4: Enter the Driver-Vehicle Combination into a Class (once for each class; entry opens May 17).

From the menu provided, select an Event and Session, and then select a Class (by Division) that the Driver wishes to enter. You may then select a Vehicle to enter from the Driver’s Garage. Add the Entry fee for the Class entered to the Shopping Cart and check out. Multiple Class Entries may be purchased in a single transaction for a given Driver.

Refunds for scratches, rainouts, etc. will be processed by the NTPA office where applicable. It is advised that Classes in which participation is uncertain should be entered to secure a lineup position.
