Russ and Bob Nichols’ Father Has Passed

We are saddened to report the passing on Monday, January 15 of Raymond Russell Nichols, 91, of Cambridge, Ohio. Mr. Nichols was the father and father-in-law of Two Wheel Drive competitors Russ (“On the Edge”) and Kelly (“One Fine Edge”) Nichols and tire manufacturer/supplier Bob Nichols.

A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Nichols worked on the railroad and drove buses before becoming a state livestock inspector and rural letter carrier. He and Ruth, his wife of 66 years, also farmed Midnight Acres raising corn, hay, beef cattle, sheep, and pigs as well as vegetables in their large garden.

In addition to Ruth, Russ and Kelly, and Bob and Lori, Mr. Nichols is survived by son Randy (Patricia) and daughter Rosemary (Duane) Maye as well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Nichols’ family and friends is scheduled for Thursday, January 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, 120 North 11th Street, Cambridge, Ohio 43725. Freeport Lodge 415 will hold services at 7 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
