Columbus, Ohio—Welcome, competitors and fans, to the 53rd championship season of the National Tractor Pullers Association!
The Charlie Swartz Memorial Truck and Tractor Pull on Friday and Saturday, September 1-2 is the collaborative effort of the NTPA and the Stark County Ag Society of Canton, Ohio. Held at the fairgrounds in Canton, the two-night event will star three Grand National and two Regional National divisions beginning at 7 p.m. each evening.
NTPA Championship Pulling brings together skilled competitors, dynamic machines, and ardent fans for outrageous displays of horsepower at fairgrounds and festivals across the United States. Specialized tractors, trucks, and dragsters tow a heavy metal sled along a straight, dirt track as the sled’s resistance increases. Within a class of similar vehicles, the one that pulls the sled the farthest is the winner. Pullers spend long nights traveling, wrenching, and tuning to put on the best show and take their best shot at prize money and season championships.
Scheduled to appear at the 2023 Charlie Swartz Memorial Pull are GN Light Super Stock and Pro Stock Tractors and Two-Wheel-Drive Trucks and Regional National Light Limited Super Stock and Classic Super Stock Tractors. Competitors in all divisions will pursue Grand or Regional National championships and qualification to appear at the 36th annual Enderle Pull-Off on Saturday, September 16 in Urbana, Ohio.
Fans will be kept informed and entertained by the NTPA’s Mobile Videoboard, which will present multi-camera live video, replays, driver and vehicle identifications, and distances.
